The Greater Escambia
Community Foundation, Inc.
The Greater Escambia Community Foundation (GECF) was formed to help donors of all means create permanent giving funds to benefit their favorite causes. This includes individuals who may be unable to establish a family foundation but have an interest in long-term gifting. Under this model, we do not compete with local charities. Instead, we connect donors with causes that are important to them. Under the leadership of a group of dedicated board members, the GECF has served our community for more than 15 years.
During 2010 we awarded grants to many organizations covering a wide range of needs. These include organizations such as Pensacola Children’s Chorus, Snoezelen Westgate Foundation, American Cancer Society, Learn to Read Northwest Florida and the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida.
