In response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill the Greater Escambia Community Foundation, Inc. has created the Pensacola Environmental Relief Fund. The Fund will support nonprofit organizations engaged in first response work as well as long-term cleanup efforts in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The Fund will support efforts to asses, protect, and cleanup the fragile coastlines and wildlife. |
Tennis players around the area are invited to participate in a tennis tournament designed to raise funds to help wildlife injured by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The tournament is scheduled for August 13 and will be held at various locations in the two-county area.
The money raised will go to the Racquet Rescue Relief Fund – a part of the Environmental Relief Fund.
